Background

Industrial engineer. Working data architect.

Jean-Luc's Epic reporting work started in 2007, before Syntrix existed: Clarity extracts, custom data models, report packs, and the analyst teams that keep them running. Syntrix was founded in 2010 to do that work for more than one organization at a time.

The engineering background shows in how engagements run. Reporting is treated as a system with inputs, queues, and throughput, not as a pile of requests. Decisions are written down with their reasoning, so the next person can follow them.

Today the work is the move from Epic Clarity reporting to Microsoft Fabric: architecture, governance, and capacity cost, for organizations that have reporting worth keeping.

How Syntrix works

Evidence first, conclusions second

  • Falsifiable claims. Recommendations are specific enough to be wrong, and are written so you can check them.
  • Published methods. The Handbook, the Metrics Reference, and iScale are public. Nothing is gated behind a form.
  • Move, do not rebuild. The reporting you already trust is the starting point, not the problem.
  • Governance in the estate. If users cannot see it in the tenant, it is not governance yet.
